This artwork is one of three that explores the diet and nesting habits of our unique Australian birds. The Eastern Spinebill is one of my favourite tiny birds and is endemic to our East Coast. It's curved bill is perfectly shaped to sip the nectar from tubular flowers like the heath in this artwork.
